Ping Pong is a simple app: you connect with a friend using a 6-digit code and send each other a ping and a pong. We keep only what that needs.
What we keep
- A device ID the app makes up on first launch (not a phone number, an email or an advertising ID).
- The name you choose, so your friends see who pinged them.
- Your connections: who your friends are, and when the last ping or pong between you was sent.
- A notification token from Apple or Google, so pings reach your phone.
- Your device's language (English or Hebrew), for the notification text.
What we don't
No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and nothing is sold or shared. Your network address is used only to limit wrong-code attempts and is deleted after about two hours.
Where it's kept
On our server on Google Cloud in Tel Aviv, over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Notifications go through Apple Push Notification service and Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Deleting
Removing a friend deletes the connection for both of you. "Delete my data" in the app (tap your friend's name at the bottom of the screen) deletes your name, device ID and all your connections right away. You can also ask by email: yonikrispil@gmail.com. Backup copies are gone within 14 days.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 13.
